FAQS

Q. Do you deliver?
A. As of January 1, 2021 we are working to bring back delivery services. Please check back to see when delivery services will start. We are working with 2 companies to make getting our meals to you. There will be a limited distance.

Q. How many servings is in one meal?
A. All of our meals are sold as a 1 serving meal. Many of our customers comment they can get more than one serving from some meals. We still say 1.

Q. Can I substitute a side on the meal with another side I see on a different meal?
A. We are not able to substitute sides as all of our meals are planned and ingredients are purchased for that meal within 2 days of your picking up.

Q. I drove by the address listed for your business and could not find you? Is this a house or commercial location?
A. It is a “commercial” business, inspected by all governing authorities for Harris County as well as The State of Texas. These include Harris County Public Health Inspector, Harris County Fire Marshall and the local water district. We are located at 9337 Spring Cypress Rd., Spring, TX 77379. MiMi J’s Kitchen is located in the shopping center of Morning Star Storage. We are on the opposite corner from the property owner’s office. What you will enter is our boutique store. It is not attached to our kitchen. The kitchen is on the back side of the property, behind the security gate. You can only get to our store from the Spring Cypress Rd. address.

*Note: We have reports from customers who use Google to find us that Google is taking them into a subdivision. We recognize that Google is trying to get them to our commercial kitchen. You can only enter the property from Spring Cypress Rd. If your map wants to take you off of Spring Cypress Rd., ignore it and keep driving. It will correct and get you to the property of Morning Star Storage.

Q. How many calories are in each meal?
A. Since we don’t typically use recipes when we create our “Home style” meals we do not provide nutritional facts. If for medical reasons you need to follow a particular diet plan, we may not be the company for your needs. We will gladly recommend other companies we know of.

Q. Are your meals Organic?
A. No. While we use some “organic” ingredients in our meals, we can’t make the promise that we are 100% organic.

Q. I have an event coming up and would like to have it catered. Do you cater?
A. Sorry, but we are not caterers. We’ll gladly refer you to another company we know in the industry.

Q. Do I have to sign a contract to purchase your meals?
A. No. We do not have contracts, but we do ask that all of our customers agree to our terms and conditions along with acknowledging that we are not an Allergen Free, gluten, wheat, or nut free environment before finalizing their order.

Q. I have food allergies and cannot consume products with Gluten in them. Is your food Gluten Free?
A. We are very sorry, but we will not be able to guarantee our meals are gluten free. We are not a Gluten, Wheat, Soy, or Nut Free Environment.

Q. I have nut allergies. Can I eat your meals?
A. Unfortunately, we would ask that you not purchase from us as we use nuts in many of our desserts, snacks and some of our savory dishes. This would mean that nut dust is everywhere.

Q. I have eaten your cakes and cheesecakes. I would love to have you bake a theme cake for our event. Do you bake custom cakes?
A. I’m sorry, but we don’t offer custom theme cakes. The cakes you see on our website are the cakes we currently offer. We are always creating something new so visit the page from time to time to see our beautiful creations. We know of a few wonderful decorators and would be happy to share their names with you.
